Live audio
Overvoice processes the audio you select to provide live translation. Overvoice does not store raw audio. Audio may pass through the selected translation provider while the translation is active, subject to that provider’s terms.
Transcripts and history
Transcripts, summaries, notes, and conversation history remain stored locally on your Mac today. They are not synced to your Overvoice account.
Account and billing data
We expect to store the minimum account information needed to identify you, maintain your minute balance, validate licenses, and show purchase history. Stripe processes payments; Overvoice will not store full card details.
Bring-your-own-key mode
Your OpenAI API key is stored in macOS Keychain on your device. It is not stored in your Overvoice web account. Usage in this mode is billed directly by OpenAI.
Your choices
You can use hosted translation minutes or bring your own key, remove local history in the Mac app, and request deletion of your Overvoice account data.
