About two-way modeTwo-way translation runs two live directions. A 30-minute two-way conversation therefore uses 60 translation minutes. One-way listening uses 30.

What counts as a translation minute?

One active direction for one clock minute uses one translation minute. If you turn on two-way translation, both directions run at once and use two minutes per clock minute.

Do credits expire?

No. Purchased translation minutes remain in your balance until you use them.

What is included in the one-time license?

The $19 license unlocks bring-your-own-key mode for one person across their Macs. You pay OpenAI directly for the model usage connected to your API key.

Can I switch between the two?

Yes. Choose hosted minutes for convenience or your own key when you prefer direct control. The Mac app can remember both setups.

Does Overvoice store my audio?

No. Audio is processed to produce the live translation and is not stored by Overvoice. Transcripts and history stay local on your Mac today.
